MAINTENANCE MECHANIC FOR MATERIAL HANDLING EQUIPMENT (2nd shift)
Plant Location: John F. Martin & Sons, LLC. (Womelsdorf)
John F. Martin & Sons is a third and fourth-generation, family-owned, and family-friendly manufacturer and distributor of quality meat and cheese products. We are committed to employee satisfaction, safety, and professional development.
This position works primarily with the material handling / PIT equipment, previous experience with general maintenance or equivalent experience is preferred. This position will also have an opportunity to be trained and work with process equipment.
Job Details:
- The work day will consist of preventative maintenance, corrective work, and troubleshooting/repair of PIT equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and pallet trucks.
- Good organizational and time management skills. A dependable, self-motivated individual who can accomplish tasks promptly with a positive attitude, willing to learn & grow with the company.
- Must be able to work independently or with a Team to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the PIT fleet.
- You must be able to work from OEM Manuals and/or verbal instructions.
- You must have effective verbal and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in Food Manufacturing is a plus.
- You must be able to stand and walk throughout the day with the ability to lift to 50 lbs as needed.

We are seeking to hire a full-time Human Resources Manager to provide hands-on leadership at our organizational locations. In partnership with the Director of Human Resources and the HR Leadership Team, the Human Resources Manager will facilitate employee relations, performance management, recruitment, onboarding, policy implementation, affirmative action, employment law compliance, benefits support, and training support. Additionally, this position will play an integral role in nurturing corporate culture
and organizational health. The ideal candidate will combine an enjoyment of traditional Human Resources disciplines with a genuine care for employees and building relationships.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5 years of demonstrated, successful human resources experience, required
• A minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience with the ability to influence
and develop teams, essential
• Demonstrated proficiency with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and
Microsoft Office Suite, required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field, preferred
• SHRM or HRCI Certification, a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal. Bilingual, strongly desired
• Demonstrated community involvement, strongly preferred
